Heart Saver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course trains participants on how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in children or infants during the critical minutes before professional help arrives. This course is designed for individuals involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in children or infants. This includes: • Childcare workers • Teachers • Camp counselors • And others in similar roles • This training covers a range of topics related to first aid and CPR for children and infants: • First Aid Basics: Learn about medical, injury, poison, and environmental emergencies. Understand how to control bleeding, apply bandages, and prevent illnesses. • Specific Emergencies: Topics include tourniquet use, shock, internal bleeding, burns, electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems, dehydration, diabetes, heat- and cold-related emergencies, drowning, amputations, bites, stings, broken bones, and sprains. • CPR AED and Choking: Master cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) use for adults, children, and infants. Learn how to respond to choking incidents. In-Person Classes: Led by Experienced instructors, these classes combine lectures with hands-0n skills sessions. Ideal for those who thrive in a traditional Class setting. Certification: Successful completion of an in person or blended learning course grants a two-year certification Certificate.
